Here is the weekly update for crimes that have occurred during February 2022.
Unfortunately vehicle crime is one of the main issues this month. The team will be carrying out more patrols in key areas. We will continue to patrol the ward as usual.
In case of an emergency, please do not hesitate to call 999. Let’s try and be vigilant and lookout for each other.

Long Lane | Criminal Damage The victim has had a window smashed. Unfortunately no CCTV was available to capture a Suspect. (CCTV plays a vital role in identifying suspects but can also make them think twice about approaching a property that has some form of cameras.) |

Bywood Avenue | Theft from Motor vehicle Victim believes that she dropped her keys and the suspect has opened the car and gone through the property within the vehicle. |

Watlings Close | Vehicle interference Victim has caught a suspect on CCTV trying multiple door handles on vehicles. Unfortunately the suspect was able to gain access to the victim’s vehicle and rummaged through but didn’t end up taking anything. (Please always double check that the vehicle has been locked.) |

Stroud Green Way | Robbery Victim was walking home and was approached by 2 males. The suspects sprayed an unidentified liquid in the victims face and stole the victim’s phone and roughly £100. |

Wickham Road | Burglary Victim arrived home to find that the property had been broken into through the back door of the property. The house has been rummaged and jewellery was unfortunately stolen. |

Long Lane | Attempted Burglary Unknown suspect has gained entry to a wooden shed located in victim’s rear garden. Nothing stolen as nothing of value kept inside due to previous Burglary the week before. |

Wickham Road | Theft of Motor Vehicle Victim has reported that his car has been stolen from the street outside his home overnight by means unknown as he has the only key for the vehicle. |
